The main task of the Department of Chemistry Education is to train chemistry teachers who will work in secondary education. The Training Program covers a period of four years. It serves with 4 professors, 2 doctoral faculty members and 1 research assistant. Graduates can work as teachers in high schools, which are public and private educational institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. They can also work in private teaching institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education.
The mission of our department is to train modern educators and academicians who have a solid foundation in chemistry and chemistry education, who can constantly enrich their knowledge by being aware of new developments, and who are committed to Ataturk's Principles.
The vision of our department is to create working and educational environments where healthy communication is established with internal and external stakeholders by training educators and researchers to meet the needs in chemistry education in both secondary and higher education institutions.
